Conquering customers: bid!
Search customers
Any company, any product may use your services.
You know your competitor is no normal ad agency.
You know the fellows on top know passion, temptation, obsession.
Won’t be easy for you, dude.
But you just have to make the right bid, find the right copy.
That’s the way for creating something good.
Your work consists in finding potential customers and creating "bids", i.e. copywriting and design drafts for advertising campaigns.
You find customers by typing their website URL's: the sites will be previewed and their popularity analyzed. More popular a site, most valuable it is.
Compose bids
Once decided upon a customer, you can start composing a prototype advertisement that will be proposed to the customer.
What will actually happen is that the game admins will assign a player as referee for your bid and its counterbids.
Search for customers through their web sites.
Create the ad: copy and design.
A referee (an experienced player) decides the winner.
Wait for the response
The process of finding a referee and deciding a winner may take some time, as humans beings are involved, who may be in different time zones. Be patient!
Share your wins
Once you have won at least one bid, it will show in your "public page": for every Adslife company there is a corresponding web page visible to all on the web where
your current results and winning bids are shown. There is also a public portfolio of your winning works, and some of your works may be chosen and end up in
Adslife Museum of Contemporary Advertising. Your public page is always linked from the top menu while you play.
Move on!
You're likely to lose a bid if you chose a very large company, or if it's your first attempt: don't get discouraged,, just try again with smaller customers.
